The Arena Rules

Principles of the debate.

To have arguments worth having, we must follow a shared code of conduct. These guidelines ensure the Arena remains a space for intellectual growth.

Arguuu is a space for collision between ideas, not individuals. We value passion, but we require logic, civility, and respect.

Core Pillars

The Rules of Engagement

01 Argue the Point, Not the Person

Ad hominem attacks, name-calling, and personal insults are strictly prohibited. Focus your energy on dismantle the argument, not the character of the debater. Attacks on a person's identity, race, religion, or background will result in an immediate ban.

02 Back Your Claims

The Arena rewards evidence. Whenever possible, provide sources for your claims. Intentionally spreading misinformation or fabricating facts to win a debate undermines the integrity of the platform.

03 No Trolling or Bad Faith

Argument for the sake of causing disruption or "owning" others without substance is discouraged. Good faith debating means you are genuinely representing a perspective and are open to the structure of the debate.

04 Respect the Structure

Do not spam rooms, hijack motions for unrelated topics, or use automated systems to manipulate voting. The structure of the debate (Opening, Rebuttal, Closing) is there for a reason—respect the turns.

05 Keep it Civil

Strong language used to emphasize a point in a debate is generally allowed, but gratuitous profanity, harassment, or a hostile tone that makes the Arena inaccessible to others is not permitted.

Enforcement

Our Stance on Moderation

Arguuu uses a combination of AI moderation, community flagging, and human review. Violations of these guidelines can result in content removal, "WIT Score" penalties, or permanent account suspension.

If you see a violation, use the "Report" button on the debate card or profile. Our safety team reviews all reports based on their severity.
